Vast beech forests, rolling hills and idyllic valleys with rivers and streams invite you to go on a great hiking holiday in our varied region around the culture city of Kassel.
This is where you will find a landscape that inspires: in the nature park Habichtswald Forest and the Meißner – Kaufunger Wald Forest, you can go hiking and enjoying nature to your heart’s content.
On 400 kilometres, the fairytale country trail connects the region’s boroughs. Or take the Eco Pfade (“eco paths”) to learn something about the cultural, historic, and archaeological treasures and features of our landscape (in German).
